Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is a term used to describe medical
practices and products that do not follow standard forms of healthcare. Conventional medicine is
one that is practiced by healthcare professionals who have a medical doctor (M.D.) degree. Other
health professionals who practice standard medicine are psychologists, physical therapists,

based on witchcraft or voodoo (Altandcompmeds, 2014).
