Introduction
Authority and political power are amongst the most engaging and people involving
jobs. The legislative authority, however, requires constant updating and regulation of the
rules and policies set out to govern the people. I have yearned for many years to be in an
authoritative position and especially in the policy sector. I believe my unfaltering
determination and goodwill for the people of the state would go a long way into ensuring that
there are better rules and even policies. I would like to run for the Governor’s position in the
form of Texas. I have lived in this country for a long time; my observation is there is a need
for more policymakers in the state due to the growing population hence the need to tackle all
issues affecting the citizens. In the advent of the global pandemic, the COVID-19, I would
suggest various measures that can be relied on to handle the situation.
Mass awareness
COVID-19 is a new disease that has never existed before' herefore, there is further
information that is disclosed as the world tries to curb it. The information obtained from
health practitioners and the World Health Organisation (WHO) is the only reliable tool that
individuals can rely on to identifies ways of preventing both acquiring and spreading the
virus. Information is significant in the instance of such a global pandemic; hence my first
proposal would be to enlighten all individuals about this disease mostly through media
platforms and other necessary means. For instance, individuals should be addressed on how
to protect themselves from acquiring the infection through measures such as wearing masks
and gloves regularly (Forum, 2020). All social and print media platforms should be at the
forefront of ensuring that all individuals are aware of the risks of this global pandemic. By
creating awareness, then all citizens will have access to necessary information that will aid
them in ensuring they are safe.

While media platforms play a significant role in ensuring that information is well
transmitted across to numerous users, it is inevitable to address the issue of fake news and
other cyber bully crimes that arise, especially in such tense conditions. The communications
