Political and economic actions have either long-term or short term effect on a country
depending on the nature of the strategies implemented. The united states have had several leaders
who implemented different leadership styles depending on their manifesto. Notably, their style of
leadership affected the economy of the country, depending on how well thought their ideas were.
1970,s can be regarded as the time of economic boom in the United States because of the shift of
power to Richard Nixon, who was a southerner. His election completely changed the narrative
that existed in the United States that power was more dominant in the northeast and Midwest.
"Southernization” created a culture that enabled the solving of American problems that had
existed for a while. People interacted freely together, and there was a remarkable change towards
racism that had existed for decades.
