The fundamental reason for the problem is the lack of clearly laid down guidelines,
policies, and procedures that guide the examination and selection of winning plays (Sarstedt &
Schloderer, 2010). Such a system would largely prevent issues of conflict of interest playing
around in the discussion. Another major reason for the problem is the lack of well established
organizational structure that spells out specific roles and responsibilities of each committee
member. Organizational structures provide an easy way to make worthwhile decisions regarding
any case without feeling inferior to the situation. All this goes down to a lack of a policy
document or a constitution to strictly guide the organization. Another reason for the problem was
the strongly biased committee with different interests.
