The most fascinating detail of this episode of radiolab is the discrimination that was being meted on the
students of Bowie high school. Students from Juarez, Mexico were being discriminated and mistreated
by the border patrol police who were demanding to see their identification documents as American
citizens. Bowie school is located near the border of El Paso, US and Juarez, Mexico and this justifies the
reason as to why the school may have been mixed with students from the two places. The students and
staffs of the school were often stopped and questioned by the police in the name that they were
searching for the drug smugglers. Only students who were suspected not to e US nationals, were often
stopped and questioned by border patrol police. As time went by, the students became familiar with
