Business Ethics
Introduction
Business ethics is one of the most important aspects of any organization. It is the center
and determinant of the success of any business small or large. Business ethics entails a set of
policies by any organization geared towards the maintenance of agreeable and practical as
well as favorable operations by the specified organization. Business ethics stands a majorly
important focal point in with the role of forming the bridge between operations and
agreeability in some controversial matters that may arise in the organization (Clegg et al.,
2007). One of these that will stand out is that business ethics work through maintaining a set
of policies and regulations as well as guidelines that mark out possible scenarios and outline
appropriate actions required. This is where the code of ethics of a given company is derived
as well as the mission and vision statements. Ethics has several parameters that the setting of
such policies and regulations has to be based on. It is guided by the interest of the organization

aspect of the organization’s path to success and is a pivot point in its operations as well. With
such importance to business and any organizational operation at all, business ethics has been
around ever since the very first business deal (batter trade) went down (Abend, 2016).
However, the ethics of back then were unspoken and utterly no literature existed, mutual

with specialization and a great deal of research and development around it. It is incorporated
in the law and in one way or the other, businesses and organization cannot avoid the
establishment, maintenance, and adherence to business ethics requirements. As broad a topic

hence many types of ethics. It is the most important part of the running and subsequent running
of businesses and therefore has many benefits and great importance. Business ethics is the
part of the business that presents the suitability of the business to work with its employee,
customers, other organizations, and the government or governments (Tsalikis & Fritzsche,
2013).
History of business ethics and Literature Review
With Business ethics it is known today, it is hard to imagine of time that it never
existed. That could be because business ethics or just ethics has always existed as long as a
business from its simplest forms has existed too (De George, 2005). The difference between
now and the early ages is that’s it lacked literature and was not as wide as is today. Either
way, one type of business ethics is the other has always existed since the beginning o...
