Beneficence and Nonmaleficence
James suffers from acute glomerulonephritis, kidney failure. The
condition does not usually require treatment in typical cases, but
James' situation is very critical, requiring immediate treatment.
The purpose of the procedure is to regulate the elevated blood
pressure together with temporary dialysis. In therapy, there is a
90% chance of success, and nursing care is significant to aid in
the monitoring of the condition and administration of dialysis
whenever necessary (Werth and Blevins, 2018). The patient is
only eight years old and is unable to understand the situation.
However, his parents are in a position to understand the benefits,
risks, and the information provided and have given consent.
