Introduction

The unionization process is the procedure of assembling the employees of an
organization into a labor union, which functions as the negotiation medium between the workers
and organizational management. In many cases, the majority votes of the employees are needed
to approve a union. Unions are normally formed when the employees feel that their needs are not
being met, therefore, having their voice heard through the strength of numbers in a union. In a
union, issues are solved more effectively since a group is involved in the negotiation process.
Certain elements of the job that were out of control such as working hours, benefits and pay are
strengthened in a legal contract (Doyle, 2018).

The first step in the process is a preparation whereby, The Green Branch Coffee’s
employees will start by talking to other colleagues who may be interested in forming a union.
Once they collect sufficient support, they can begin assembling a committee. The committee
should consist of different departments, ethnicities, genders, and jobs so that every group can be
equally represented. The various committee members will then be informed on the main issue as
