Global financial crisis: An analysis from the Inside Job film
In 2008, a global financial crisis led to millions of people around the world losing
their jobs and rendered people homeless through various unregulated risky actions and
measures by financial institutions. The crisis was extensive and the second most significant
from the great depression, which has attracted a lot of research from scholars and analysts. In
2010, a documentary named Inside Job was released by director and filmmaker Charles
Ferguson. He tells the stories of how the crisis originated, the bubble, the crisis, and the
aftermath (Ferguson, 2010).
Casualties, controlling patterns and growth modes
The main casualties to the financial crisis of 2008, involved savings and loan firms,
taxpayers, employees, innocent homeowners debtors, and customers in the investment firms.
The controlling events included the failure of the government scrutiny on firms, individuals
on executive positions acting for their benefits, and failure of the scholars to advised against
