what is the maximum number of nonoverlapping sqaures with sides of length 3 that will fit inside of a square with sides of length 6?

Area  of big square=6*6=36

Area of small square=3*3=9

A(big square)/A(small square)=36/9=4

so maximum 4 non overlappping small square can fit in big square.
