Tell-Tale Heart", "The Masque of the Red Death", "The Oval Portrait", and "The Black Cat"
among others. Most of Poe’s tales included themes of macabre and mystery. He has also
received credit as being one the pioneers of detective fiction and science fiction genres of
literature.
