The body of the proposal should include the following:

Do not just submit the worksheets you submitted in each of the previous weeks; rather, expand on them and use transitions to combine them in an organized and professional manner.

Re: San Dieguito Alliance for Drug-Free Youth Grant Proposal
Dear Sir/Madam,
We at San Dieguito Alliance for Drug-Free Youth are happy and eager to work with you on a
program that will help individuals from the community who are encountering drugs or alcohol
addiction to avoid or keep away from substances use for the betterment of their futures in
productive ways. The project is ‘San Dieguito Alliance for Drug-Free Youth,’ which brings
together parents, educators, students, and other community members to prevent or reduce the use
of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs by the youth in communities in San Diego.
It is the policy of San Dieguito for Drug-Free Youth to provide equal opportunity to all youth
without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, and disability. The long-term
goals are to continue helping the youth and teens in San Diego overcome the use of alcohol,
tobacco, and other drugs and have to create a healthy community.
To support the goals of the program, the organization has four programs through which it reaches
out to the youth in the community. One of the most successful programs is the STUDY BUDDY
program for high school teens to mentor and tutor an elementary student after school. The
organization has also ignited Young Leaders in Healthcare- a high school campus club program,
which explores career opportunities and issues in the fields of medicine and public health, in
partnership with Scripps Hospital, Encinitas. Moreover, the organization supports the Teen
Presenters, a program for high school seniors to visit elementary and middle schools to tell the
students about their choice to have always been alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free. The
organization also supports and organizes the Project YO program for Latino teens to encourage
their academic success and to provide opportunities for community service, cultural enrichment
activities, and leadership training. The organization through the San Dieguito Youth Partnershipa San Diego County Youth Leadership Project strengthens youth-driven alcohol and other drug
prevention efforts throughout the county.

3
San Dieguito Alliance hosts a quarterly community networking lunch where parents, youth,
community members, civic leaders, and agency staff can receive the latest in alcohol, tobacco,
and drug information and prevention strategies. The program would like to continue having these
quarterly meetings so that they can continue to help the youth and teens in their programs with
the new strategies.
The program will continue to post when their quarterly meetings with being on their website but
also send out emails to all parties that are helping these programs succeed. With the continued
meetings with the community and leaders, the program will be able to continue its services and
propose many more new programs.

Attain a 25% increase in student participation over the year by reaching out to
teenage in the middle schools in the middle in the south San Diego
Decrease alcohol use among students in the middle schools in the middle in the south
San Diego by 22%
Reduce the number of youths between 12 and 20 years old in South San Diego using
marijuana.
Increase the community participation by 25 percent by engaging parents, counselors,
educators, community leaders and religious groups in South San Diego

The project will be successful since all the methods assumed and implemented have been
assessed, evaluated, and have shown high success rates. San Dieguito Alliance for Drug-Free
Youth’ program will aim at reforming all the youth in South San Diego, thus reducing the drug
threat that has adversely influenced people’s lives.
Should you find our programming compatible with your funding interests, please consider this a
formal request for all relevant proposal guidelines, application procedures, and deadlines for
your next funding cycle.
Best Regards
