globally. Muscat Technology is well known for its effectiveness in providing adequate software
development services. Muscat Technology company offers software services including, system
development, web development, mobile, and creative designing. Also, the company maintains
and develops software products that are sold to its customers globally. The company CEO, Mr.
Abdullah, focuses on maintaining professional and trained workers to ensure quality output as he
believes that product quality is significant to customer retention and customer satisfaction. The
paper will discuss problems experienced by Muscat Technology as per the case study, justify
what quality development can add to an organization, and suggest ways to ensure quality in all
the four dimensions.
Problems of Muscat Technology States in the Case Study
However, despite the focus of Muscat Technology Company on quality products for
customer satisfaction and customer retention, and is one of the leading software companies, it
lacked a standardized company process. From the case study, Muscat Company experienced
problems that were significant to the normal running processes of the company. For instance,
over the years, unexpected and concerning resources were utilized for software maintenance.
Muscat technologies could have ensured the maximum and equivalent amount of resources to
maintain all software programs as a software company. The management should have considered
reengineering to fix the codes and have sufficient funds for maintenance. Although peer reviews
were encouraged, programmers exhibited fear that their performance may be affected through
critical review evaluation; hence, it was an ineffective measure to help peer reviews in the issue.
Also, the case study reveals that the organization experienced an overrun in budget and
long lead times. This is because essential resources for managing the number of change orders

arising on a specific project were over or underestimated, which affected the budget. Managing
changes is a crucial activity in an organization. An organization should manage changes in its
products, either the orders or the production at all times. Muscat Company lacked effective
