I’m trying to study for my Algebra course and I need some help to understand this question.

passes through 10,6 perpendicular to the graph of 9x+12y=15

(10 , 6)

9x + 12y = 15

12y = -9x + 15

Dividing by 12 on both sides , we get

12y / 12 = -9x/12 + 15 / 12

y = -3/4 * x + 5/4

Slope = -3/4

A line perpendicular to given line will be 4/3

Point (10,6)

(y - 6) = 4/3(x - 10)

3(y - 6) = 4(x - 10)

3y - 18 = 4x - 10

adding 18 on both sides, we get

3y = 4x + 18 -10

3y = 4x + 8

dividing by 3 on both sides ,we get

y = 4/3 * x  +  8/3

HENCE Equation of slope intercept form is  y = 4/3 * x  +  8/3
