Subtract 4 on both sides , we get

3x + 4 - 4 < 13 - 4

3x < 9

Now divide by 3 on both sides, we get

3x/3 < 9/3 

 x < 3

2_ 6+2x>-2

Subtract 6 on both sides , we get

6 - 6 + 2x > -2 -6

2x > -8

Now divide by 2 on both sides , we get

2x/2 > -8/2

x > -4
