Covid-19 is the world health crisis since the end of world war 11. Since its emergence in
November 2019. Over 1.5 million people have been affected by the disease. The disease has
caused panic around the world because it quickly spreads. The virus has reduced the economic
and social activities in every part of the world, and its effects are worse than those experienced in
the previous financial crisis (Sohrabi & Agha, 2020). For instance, within three months, almost
every nation was affected. The disease has challenged how societies and individual operate their
business and interact with one another. All economies have suffered economically, and some of
the SMEs would likely be unable to recover from coronavirus pandemic impact. Therefore, it is
prudent to create a mechanism that aims to cushion the organization from the negative impact of
the virus and adopt the new ways of operating the business.
I head a firm that is consulted by the Canadian and United States government to assist
them in logistics regarding healthcare emergencies. The pandemic has hard hit the two countries
so, and my firm will take action in ensuring the two countries mitigate and end the spread of the
disease. One of the changes that have been brought by the disease is that people are required to
maintain social distancing, and teleworking has been seen as the ideal alternative to working
(Adams & Walls, 2020). As the cybersecurity manager, I am mandated to develop a plan that
ensures the staff maintain social distancing and use technology whenever possible.
The firm has to liaise with other stakeholders in the health industry and cooperate with
the workers to ensure that policies are effective when implemented. For the firm to manage it's
logistics appropriately, the managers ought to understand the management of healthcare
operations (Torales & Ventriglio, 2020). The health care organization in the 21st century must
develop plans that are metric-driven.

Emergency management refers to the management of resources and responsibilities for
handling humanitarian aspects such as preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery.
Mitigation: refers to a phase where a risk assessment is conducted to identify the most
critical hazards. One should consider the risks that an organization could face in the future. An
analysis of the employees, stakeholders, and competitors should be conducted to assess the
impact the crisis could have on the organization. All options that could affect the business should
be considered and have a plan to handle a situation where one of the employees tests positive for
