Description

OUTLINE IS DUE SUNDAY

ROUGH DRAFT IS DUE 6/14

FINAL DRAFT IS DUE 6/28

The final paper is a minimum 4-5-page paper (APA format). The paper is to be a critical analysis of a topic related to U.S. Government including, but not limited to, any one of the following topics: Voting, Media, Political Parties, Public Opinion, Interests Groups, our Democratic System or our Political System using a U.S. Government topic.

Critical analysis is not criticizing something with which you do not agree. Many of you are engaging in critiques or criticisms, not critical analysis. You are starting with a premise of your own beliefs. Critical analysis requires an objective open mind and analyzes things based on facts and evidence. Do we have all the facts and evidence in order to make an informed conclusion? If you are truly engaging in critical analysis, then you will discover your own biases and prejudices. You have to play devil's advocate with yourself and your own thinking as well. Know where you are coming from so that you can work past your own prejudices and beliefs and opinions. Be open to alternative viewpoints. Examine alternative viewpoints. Everyone has their own prejudices, beliefs and opinions and everyone is entitled to their own prejudices, beliefs and opinions. However, this is not the forum for that. This class is not graded on your opinions; this class is not graded on whether you agree with each other. This class is not graded on whether you are for or against the Second Amendment. This class is graded on the application of critical thinking analysis on the topics.

prevents people from using social media platform managers (Savage, 2020). According to
federal communications, the legal protection on social media has been used by the opposition to
undermine the policies of Trump's administration. Therefore, the effects of the executive order
are to prevent the social media platforms from scrutinizing the information which is posted by
the president in the future since president Trump's such scrutiny contributes to the spread of
biased news. The Trump administration seems determined to control the social media sites and
this will negatively affect how information is passed through these platforms. The government is
focused on enacting policies such as executive orders which will limit the freedom of speech in
social media.
