Supervision is crucial in mental health professions as it ensures that practitioners are
skilled in ensuring client safety. Professional counseling is becoming internationalized, and this
shows the need for personalization of supervision models to meet people's diverse needs. Often,
counselors have to use their personal experiences to help clients cope with issues affecting them.
They also have to control their problems from interfering with how they offer therapy. The
discrimination model is an example of a supervisory model that deals with the personalization of
