Introduction
A business plan is a document that prescribes the type of a business, marketing strategy as well as
predicted financial analysis of the business. It should be accurate, up to date and include both short and
long term plans. A business plan is generally used as a guide as it provides directions as to how to plan
best.
Executive summary
BOBO grocery is located within the University of Nairobi. This enterprise was founded by
Dennis Fredrick. It will deal with the sale of fresh vegetables such as kales, spinach, tomatoes, carrots
cucumber, potatoes, onions, green bananas, oranges, melons and pineapples. This grocery aims at serving
students and providing the best at a good price. Since most students are authorized to cook in their hostels
market is readily available.
This business started with a capital of $200, which I had from my previous savings. I expect to
make cash sales of $500 everyday with a profit of $2500 per week. I am planning to expand my business
by adding more stock due to the increasing demand for my products. This business has lasted for six
months now and I have been able to make some good profit. I am planning to plough back $2000 to
expand my business by including more stock and male the stall larger.
Market Analysis
My target market is students and therefore I have to set my prices very carefully. I also have to
consider my competitor’s prices. This way I will be able to make good sales. Since I want to expand my
business I have to find ways of enticing my customers so as to even attract more customers. For instance I
am planning to give discounts on particular products once I expand the business. My business is well
