Most of us take part in activities that have the features of proper research, although
this goes unnoticed sometimes. We attempt new techniques of teaching, new textbooks, and
new materials. The only way we develop research questions and research methodologies are
by performing research strategies in different settings, including interviewing students,
parents, and faculty concerning school activities. Additionally, researchers analyze,
hypothesize, question, and evaluate for them to come up with research methodologies and
issues. The word research infers different types of systematic and careful patient investigation
and studies in some sectors that one has adequate knowledge. Typical research focuses on
evaluating underlying procedures, with the study hypothesis getting expressed in the form of
a theory. Researchers who take part in introductory research methods are often not concerned
in assessing the usefulness of specific pedagogies. On the contrary, applied research is based
on assessing the usefulness of specific pedagogical approaches. The paper discourses the
criteria behind the formation of research questions and research methodologies.
Most methodologies are formed based on the type of research since many of them fit
in the framework of analysis used. Therefore, what is needed the most is for us to learn and
understand the research design we can apply to specific methodologies. As researchers, if we
increase the level of our knowledge, we shall achieve more stable information upon which we
can build our educational decisions. The primary forms of research upon which most
methodologies are centered are quantitative and qualitative research methods. These two
methods are different in the way they draw their assumptions concerning the objective of the
research, types of studies carried out and approaches applied by scholars, the responsibility of
