Implementation of IT System: Critical Issues
Introduction
Healthcare systems have been improved by Electronic Health Records (HER) as they
provide confirmed healthcare with enhanced medical practice efficiency. Advancement and
technical development are main features to handle better and planned outcomes in the Health
field. Out-of-the-way clinical data comprising of electronically-based gears would deprive
clinicians of total profits that modified expertise can consult. Consequently, EMR builders need
to carry on developing new thoughts. Clinicians must keep on insisting on yields with complete
functionality.
The role of the Government, meaningful use, and technology evaluation are the ones
which affect the development of EHR and makes the physicians hesitant to adopt it.
Role of the Government
Government regulations and policies play a vital part in facilitating a health of a country.
The future of EHR markets will be fundamentally dependent on strict rules, the government
support and future trends affecting domestic healthcare systems.
The Governmental inventiveness to endorse EHR is extremely unsatisfactory before
2004. In solving the problem of unwillingness amongst doctors, the administration should create
an immense venture in the advance of IT in healthcare, predominantly in HER and EMR
software that may motivate the EHR package affecting its adoption rate.
Meaningful Use

IMPLEMENTATION OF IT SYSTEM: CRITICAL ISSUES
Several physicians discover it to be difficult to encounter the different principles of
significant use comprising e-prescribing, automatic exchange of health information of a patient,
and clinical data reporting. Therefore, some doctors express unwillingness since they trust that
their work movements may be caught up, and data exposed to the hazard.
Rural hospitals are having problems in using EHR systems
Technology Evaluation
One chief reason for partial EHR application in countryside hospitals is that absence of
economic and operative assets.
Inadequate comprehension of EHR systems design of clash of fresh alteration requests
many initial problems, in the enactment of the package with first-hand features taken into
consideration as the utmost technical obstacles in the embracing of EHR.
