Energy is a critical player in the growth and development of the country. There are two
types of energy sources, renewable sources, and non- renewable sources, which have been a
significant contribution to a global source of energy. Examples of non-renewable sources of
energy are coal, oil, and natural gas. Examples of renewable sources of energy within a society
such as solar, water, and wind will be a better alternative to non-renewable energy. The
commitment to power communities with 100 percent renewable energy is commendable, as this
will help reduce the effects of non-renewable energy sources in the environment. The more
developed a country is, the more energy sources are required. Having sufficient energy to power
up the growth and development within the country can be a challenge considering the need to
maintain environmental commitments (Jones, 2018).
