Assignment 1: Multiple Regression in SPSS
You will note that the assignment for this week is similar to the multiple regression analyses you did in the Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis course in weeks 9 and 10. When you conduct your multiple regression analysis for this assignment you should not turn in a paper you submitted in an earlier course or use the same variables that you used to conduct a multiple regression. Please note that SafeAssign will match your assignment to your submission(s) from the earlier course and it is not permissible to reuse work from previous courses without specific permission from your instructor.
For this assignment use different variables than you did for previous multiple regression assignments.
To prepare for this Assignment
- Review this week’s Learning Resources and media program related to multiple regression.
- Based on the dataset you chose, construct a research question that can be answered with a multiple regression analysis.
BY DAY 7
Write a 1- to 2-page analysis of your multiple regression results, addressing each research question. In your analysis, display the data for the output. Based on your results, provide an explanation of what the implications of social change might be.
Use proper APA format, citations, and referencing for your analysis, research question, and display of output.

The goal of this brief analysis is to study the effects of various student and teacher variables
on students’ mathematics self-efficacy. Defined as the personal perceived capability for
learning or performing actions, self-efficacy has been shown to be an effective predictor of
student’s performance and resilience in various academic areas (Pajares, 1997), and it is
