It is important to develop a plan for the completion of the project that will mark the end of the
project officially. The steps in completion are outlined below. These include;
I.

Confirmation of work done as compared to the requirements. This involves the
completion and evaluation of the project deliverables as per the schedule.

II.

Acquisition of formal acceptance of work. This involves gaining formal acceptance from
the key stakeholders regarding the end of the project.

III.

Completion of the final performance report. These include; the cost performance,
schedule performance, and quality performance among others (Meredith, Shafer &
Mantel Jr, 2017). The budget cost for the project is also evaluated.

IV.

Documentation of the project management plan records. This includes the collection of
all the relevant documents that are necessary for the project.

V.

Lessons learned update. It is important to properly update the lessons learned from the
project. This is done through the update of the achievements and failures of the project.

VI.

Handover of the completed project. The project is finally handed over officially to the
key stakeholders for their assessment. The leaders are placed in charge of the activities of
the project following the handover.

This project is aimed at increasing participation for a local school system. This is aimed
