Density Lab Discussion Questions
Q1. Density is inversely proportional to volume, that is an increase in density reduced in a
decrease in volume whereas a decrease in density results in an increase in volume.
Q2. Gold, this is because it has greatest density of the 8 materials and thus a large density
would mean a much lower volume because of the inverse relationship between volume and
density.
Q3. I would measure its mass using the digital balance and then record it. I would put water
in the glass container enough to submerge the object (not full) and record the initial reading
as volume 1. Then I would submerge the irregularly shaped object such that it is fully
covered and take the current reading as volume 2. ...
