Explanation of How EHR Supports each of the above Steps
The admission process within the emergency department is a critical workflow process
that requires accurate patient data and information. Hospitals may use electronic health records
(EHR) to gather, store, share, retrieve, and update patients' data to facilitate a seamless workflow
process within the emergency department (Fargo et al., 2018). Right from the decision to admit
the patients to the point of discharge, healthcare organizations will rely on the patent data and
