How does energy move through a food web?

Question Description

i need a summary about it

Final Answer

When an organism consumes another organism, energy travels. When a plant or animal dies, its nutrients are stored in the soil. The plants that grow in the soil uses those nutrients to grow. The plant is then eaten by an herbivore (plant eater) animal. The herbivore uses the plant's nutrients to live and grow. The herbivore is eaten by a carnivore (meat eater). The carnivore uses the herbivore's nutrients to live and grow. When it dies, it's nutrients are stored in the soil again, so the whole sequence starts again.
