Songs Emotions

Listening to songs has significant effects on our emotions due to brain dopamine
regulation. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that is strongly engaged in emotional behavior and
mood regulation. The songs that have been chosen are goodbye earl by Dixie Chicks; all things
must pass by George Harrison, we are the champions by Queen and got to be real by Cheryl
Lynn.
Emotions in goodbye earl
The song is so nervous at first about how the two friends parted after graduation.
However, things change instantly after one of the friends experienced violence in her marriage.
One can feel the hardship that Wanda was going through. An imagination sends someone to a
quiver on how the lady could be going through such challenges (Bai, et al. 2017). Emotions
change when the two friends plan murder revenge. The emotions experienced in this instance are
tremor, fear, grief, disbelief, confusion, and a feeling of guilt. All the emotions change as the
song takes a different course.
All things must pass
The song means that every situation that people go through must eventually come to an
end. The song gives some form of encouragement, feeling of stress imagining the initial
situations the singer may have gone through. There is hope in the song that shows people to
endure all the sufferings and also try to conquer different hardship and emerge as winners (Rhile,
2019). The song gives the thoughts of depression, hope, wisdom, patience, and uprising.

We are the champions

The song gives the motivation after winning on something. The song gives the emotions
of happiness after a victory. The emotions after listening to the song are pride, increased
satisfaction, and confidence. The song also gives a mood of relaxation and some form of arousal.
Got to be real
The song shows some form of love and someone expressing their love feelings to their
partner. The song presents the emotions of love and affection. The emotions in this song are
amusing, anxiety, desirous, joyful, cheerful, and heroic.
The songs produce different emotions when listening to them. There is a need to listen to
the deeper meaning of the song to get the best emotions delivered by the song. In addition, some
of the songs are hard to get the emotions due to their deeper meaning that may be hidden in some
songs. However, in these songs, I did not find it challenging to notice the emotions elicited by
each song.

Wanda started gettin' abused
She'd put on dark glasses or long-sleeved blouses
Or make-up to cover a bruise” (stanza 2).
