FUNCTIONS OF MANAGEMENT
Planning: Examination of specific areas falling under Planning
This will entirely focus on choosing the best goals as well as actions to pursue after
which strategies to be employed will be determined, the actions to take, and making decisions on
the resources that are required to help attain the goals. Organizational planning involves the
continuous process of systematically establishing goals, deliverables, schedules, and objectives
that will guide an organization's pursuant in the future (Saxena et al., 2019). Most planning
activities last for weeks, months, or years depending on the nature of objective that an
organization intends to achieve. An organization will conduct the evaluation and monitoring of
the outcomes of the planning process so that it can use the feedback to make improvements in

This will begin by coming up with a map or an outline of how to achieve the specific
goals. In this case, optimize packing as well as the overall well-being of the warehouse and the
plant supervisors and workers. Therefore, this will decide as a manager, the necessary steps
needed to accomplish these goals (Saxena et al., 2019). The above steps will then be developed
into a plan. As long as the steps are well laid, they can, therefore, be followed to achieve the
goals. Similarly, the plan will be part and parcel of plant policy to become the work culture.
What I plan to do and Implement to Build an Effective Team and Culture
As described above, the first step would be to come up with a blueprint of what the plant is
interested in achieving, the underlying goals, in this case, optimize packing operations. Having
put in place an outline, what follows the manager and the entire team will make suggestions on
how this needs to be and can be achieved (Saxena et al., 2019). This will then be communicated
to each member of the team or the employees and supervisors at the plant. It will be followed by

putting in place necessary steps that need to be followed to the latter to ensure the laid down
goals are attained.
The plan will, therefore, move to the implementation phase of this project, which will be
converting the steps into a plan. It is at this point that each team member will commit themselves
to work on the plan to achieve the goals of the plant or the organization (Sandhu, 2017). It will
be important to ensure workers develop the habit of being alive to the goals and being guided by
the work plan at all times in their undertakings. This will ensure that this becomes the work
culture at the plant.
What Processes and Systems do you Plan to Use
There are six issues through which choices will be made during the period of designing
strategic planning structures. These will include communication of the organizational goals,
setting goals, carrying out environmental scanning, the focus of subordinate management staff,
the role of the organizational planner, and the link between planning and budgeting (Sandhu,
2017). All these factors have to be incorporated and work collaboratively to come up with an
elaborate plan that will ensure the company attains all the underlying goals and objectives.
