The Endocrine System
Define hormone.Describe paracrine communication.Identify four mechanisms of intercellular communication. How could you distinguish between a neural response and an endocrine response on the basis of response time and duration? How would the presence of a substance that inhibits the enzyme adenylate cyclase affect the activity of a hormone that produces its cellular effects by way of the second messenger cAMP?What primary factor determines each cell’s hormonal sensitivities?Identify the two lobes of the pituitary gland. If a person were dehydrated, how would the amount of ADH released by the posterior lobe change?no plagiarism your own words i will be checking if this is plagiarism.

How can reverse transcriptase inhibitors slow the replication of DNA? Give an example that lay persons without this knowledge could understand, and why they need to know it.*****************************************************************************************************************To be able to understand reverse transcriptase inhibitors lets look at DNA replication. The graphic below shows the individual steps. A DNA strand will break apart and then complementary base strands will be moved into place to create two new strands of DNA.Complementary means the G base strands bind to the C base strands and the A base strands bind to the T base strands. For this post think of ways this process could be interfered with, there are many examples of both positive reasons and negative reasons this might happen.
