Summary
Cuyahoga River Valley (CRV) was a region affected by industrialization and
environmental degradation due to the numerous economic activities in the town (Cummings
& Worley, 2015). The region faces numerous challenges with regards to economic
development and environmental degradation; this is a result of issues such as urbanization
and excess industrialization. Despite the challenges faced by the community, measures have
been undertaken to try and elevate the region both economically and environmentally. The
CRV initiative was established to restore the region's nature and economic condition; the
CRVO was the organization tasked with ensuring that the initiative was organized and
implemented. The CRVO was used as a collaborative tool to enforce the participation of
various stakeholders and actualization of the project through the use of different strategies.
