Alien: The Science Fiction Movie that Changed the Game For my research paper I plan to show how Alien changed the direction of Sci-Fi horror. In the paper I will provide box office stats and award nominations. I will take a look into the design process of the film and detailing some innovations (if any) provided by the film/ Director/ Cast. My justification for picking this topic stems from my interest in the movie itself, and the desire to learn more. The Alien movie spawned a series of movies that surpassed the creator’s expectations. The movie has a cult following that has baffled me for quite some time. I plan to look into how this movie affected those during that time for them to follow this movie over the years.
