how do i simplify this problem and rationalize the denominator

First simply multiply 8x^3/y^4 and 4x^4/y^2 = 32 x^7/ y^6    (adding the indices 3,4 and 4,2)

Now take fifth root of 32 (x^7/ y^6 ) = 2 fifth root (x^7/ y^6 )      [note fifth root of 32 =2] 

Now rationalize by multiplying numerator and denominator by y^4 to give 

 2 fifth root (x^7 y^4/ y^10 ) =2/ y^2 * fifth root  (x^7 y^4)       [note fifth root of y^10 = y^2]
