Introduction
Organizational leadership and decision making combined with other qualities are key elements
that a good leader must possess for the smooth running of any organization (Bratton, 2020). This
is because an organization follows a certain system in its operation but it is dynamic and can also
be complex at times. In all organizations, high quality and good decision making are all the
characteristics that define good leadership. Therefore, in this regard, a good and effective leader
must demonstrate a high level of boldness and self-confidence in order to deal with the neverending problems that usually arise in the course of operations within various organizations
(Ejimabo, 2015). Effective leaders are supposed to know what decisions they are supposed to
keep for the benefit of the organization and they must also be able to listen to all the views of the
stakeholders in the organization. This paper aims at identifying that influences good decision
making among different levels in the organization and also the challenges among the
organizational system which usually contributes to bad decision making and eventually
ineffective leadership.
The Role of a Leader in Organizational Decision Making
It is very important to note that decision making is very crucial in any organization because it
usually influences the outcome or the performance of the organization and most people usually
attribute the success of any organization to the decision that is made within the organization
(Bratton, 2020). Regarding this matter, leaders must be smart in their decision making; they
should include their employees in their decision-making processes rather than relying on their
