Definition:
Moral philosophy is one of the branches of philosophy that tackles what is right or wrong
action. It explores morality’s nature and examines how one should live his or her life in relation
to others, whether it is nature or other human being. Moral philosophy is also a study of meaning
and justification of moral claims, which evaluates the rightness or wrongness of the actions or
character of a person. This branch is further divided into 3 distinct subject areas which are metaethics, normative ethics, and applied ethics. So, moral philosophy has something to do with
ethics and ethical- related issues and matter.
Meta-ethics evaluates the nature of moral claims and arguments which has involvement
in attempt to determine if the moral claims have clear essential meaning. On the other hand,
normative ethics examines moral standards that attempt to define the right and wrong conduct
which has involvement in examining good and bad actions, duties, habits and its consequences.
