Description
write 500 words based on the attached instructions
make sure you do everything as being asked there
NO PLAGIARISM!!
To satisfy the requirements of this paper, you will write at least three paragraphs. Write a 1-2 paragraph summary describing the format—the parts or sections—of the popular article. Observe, review and analyze the structure and style of the popular article. For each section of the popular article, write a sentence or two that describes the kind of information you found in that section. Then follow the same steps for the journal article. All the time ask yourself: How is this journal article different from the popular article’s format, content and style? Are there any ways in which it is similar to the popular article? For your third paragraph, describe two specific similarities and two specific differences in the form, content and style of the popular and journal articles. That is, you must compare the format and content of the two articles. Don’t be vague or general in your stated similarities and differences, but be specific. The more specific comparisons, the more points your paper gets.

The Personality of Academic Majors and Study of Impact of Personality Traits on
Academic Performance of Management Students are articles written by Anna Vadel and Dur
Khan, respectively. They delve into the impacts of personality on different academic aspects.
The report authored by Vadel studies the correlation of personality and various academic majors.
On the other hand, Khan investigates how the big five personality traits influence the academic
performance of MBA students. The characteristics include extraversion, agreeableness,
conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness. Both articles utilize disparate styles and
structures. Despite the two being in different genres, they reference academic literature to
validate their views and opinions regarding the topics under study.
Vadel’s article seems not to be formalized since it is a popular article, while Khan's
report is formal and organized in an academic format. The article by Vadel is written in prose
and does not constitute the headings of distinct sections. However, the author has arranged it
logically. She begins with an engaging introduction, a detailed and interesting body, and a
conclusion. She uses rhetorical and engaging questions to determine if the audience has ever
noticed any similarity in learners undertaking various academic fields. With this, the author tries
to engage the reader by allowing them to memorize and analyze their past experiences with
people studying distinct courses. The author further states a generalized view on the impacts of
personality in every aspect of our lives (Vedel, 2016). Her opinion is credible, given that she is a
professional in psychology and behavioral science, and her views are based on empirical
evidence.
On the other hand, Khan's article, which is an academic psychology article meets all the
characteristics of academic research studies. The author organizes the study into distinct sections

that are logically arranged and labeled. He provides a detailed introduction. Here he states where
the word personality is derived from and defines personality as a stable set of characteristics
responsible for a person’s identity (Khan, 2018). The section that follows is the in-depth
description of the five traits each in its section. The article further describes the popularity of the
big five models and justifies why there was a need for additional exploration of the topic. The
article also constitutes sections that are found in typical research studies. Some of these sections
include research methodology, results, discussion, and a conclusion, among others. The findings
of the study are credible as they are based on empirical research and an in depth review of
studies undertaken by other researchers.
Ideally, the contents of the journal article are different for those of the popular article.
The journal contains detailed info on the big five personality traits that the author believes
impact the academic performance of MBA students. The popular article also elucidates that the
big five personality traits influence academics and describe their effects. However, the
description provided in the popular article on the impact of different personality traits on
academics is shallow. Unlike the journal article, whose conclusion is based on concrete facts
and evidence derived from data collected, the popular article bases its conclusion on other
scholars’ findings and the author’s opinion.
