Question 1
Should society help workers dislocated when technology, like the internet, eliminates
their jobs in a process called 'Creative Destruction'?
Answer 1
The community ought to assist individuals whose job positions have been eliminated by
innovative technologies. Creative destruction can positively impact the economy and enable
people to have an opportunity to work in the new jobs created as well as benefit from the
developed technologies. Helping workers to navigate through the difficulties of losing their jobs
will enable them to be determined to utilize the created opportunities (Igami, 2017). Further,
society should strive to ensure that all members are productive, and thus this can be made
possible through assisting those affected by emerging technologies
Question 2
Are we working more and earning less?
Answer 2
With the job markets flooding with competent people, there are minimal opportunities,
mainly due to the advancement of technologies that eliminate some of the jobs that many people
depend on. Therefore, it implies that many individuals are willing to be paid very little despite
working more just to survive. The increased competition in businesses and demand for high
productivity forces workers even to work more, to meet the employer requirements and be able
to keep their jobs (David, 2017). The belief that meaningful work has a higher monetary value is
