Question Description

You are kayaking on a river.you just entered the river, which is currently running at a pace of 10mphYou can paddle 15mph(in either direction). If u paddle upstream for 1 hour and then stop paddling how long before u return to where uentered the river

Your total speed upstream is 15-10=5 mph.

So within an hour you'll paddle 5 miles.

Your total speed downstream is 15+10= 25 mph

Time back is

5 miles/ 25 mph = (1/5) h = 0.2 h = 12 min

Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
