Overexploitation of Natural Resources
The human populace has gradually increased with time. By the end of 2019, the world’s
population was about 8 billion people. Based on this perspective, natural resources, such as land,
rivers, and forests, are overexploited as a result of the increased number of individuals.
Additionally, we cannot shy away from the fact that people need more property to establish
settlements, which forces them to overexploit land for settlement (Whitburn et al., 2019). The
world population is likely to keep rising from the current statistics. Suitable measures should be
put in place globally to enable control of population growth, which suppresses the available
natural resources.
