QUESTION 3
1.

Describe the key differences between functional and matrix organizations.

Functional and organizational matrixes play out differently. For example; functional
organizations focus on a specific framework to build up, while matrix organizations
focus on building more structures/frameworks at once. For example; within an
functional organization, while people are kept into groups, they are usually kept
together with people of the same skills, who reside in the same departments.
However, matrix organizations tend to branch out more, implementing a combination
of different assets from employees, to make new innovations.
QUESTION 4

Explain a Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC). Design a PDLC of your own and briefly explain it.

A project life cycle, is the implementation of various project management aspects,
which are broken down into various subsets. This includes factors such as internal
work, external work, setting up the foundation for implementing project management
aspects, etc. My example of a Project Delivery Life Cycle is simple, but it involves a
home office set up. I assess what the most essential aspects are for building a home
office, organization that will come into play, and the best way to create structure
within my project as well as the setting, so that there is a strong focus to be had.
Question 4’s PDLC design will be attached to the exam that is turned in.

QUESTION 6
1.

Explain the difference between effort and duration. Give an example of how they relate to each
another.

Effort, is when an individual puts hard work into a piece of material, applying the
assessments of how they can tell a good story, how they can make something stand
out and wow and audience. However, duration is stamina based, and it involves a
conscious effort to push oneself past whether they feel like doing something or not.
An example of this, would be lighting weights. They relate to each other, because if
you have the duration to workout, even after a long day, then you are putting in a
conscious effort to not make excuses for how you are feeling.
