Introduction

Developing employees through the implementation of training and development
opportunities is a primary function of human resource management (HRM). Performance
measurement and appraisals are one way to determine what type of additional training is needed
to ensure employee success. Training and development of employees work simultaneously since
they are effective in supporting performance appraisal procedures (Messmer, 2007). Employee
achievement is measured through the ability to learning new job definitions, competencies,
responsibilities, and performance measures. This not only helps a manager but also helps an
organization in achieving its set goals. Improving employee training ensures that they are
acquainted with the job requirements and meet the organizational goals.

Training and Development Analysis

The first impression given to a new employee is the key to a functional and coherent
working environment. The process must ensure that the employee feels welcome, comfortable,
and confident about the new workstation. As a manager, one needs to identify the need of a new
employee, inform colleagues about a new member, and ensure the new employee's workstation is
ready. This is followed by ensuring all programs are accessible to the new employee, introduce,
allow enough time for training, and assign one member to perform orientation to the new
employee (Kamaraj, Venkntrama & Kaanman, 2019).
