Introduction: Menopause is the permanent menstruation cessation that occurs in the late 40s or
early 50s after women lose their ovarian follicular activity.
1. Explain perimenopause, surgical menopause, stress menopause, and post-menopause.
A. Perimenopause-A period when women start experiencing menopause-associated
symptoms earlier than when they are supposed to stop ovulating
B. Surgical Menopause- This is a type of menopause that is induced through surgery
C. Stress Menopause- Although they do not necessarily induce menopause, they can make a
woman experience menopause-like symptom more severely
D. Post-menopause- This is a period that refers to the rest of a woman’s life after
experiencing menopause
