Compensation packages have a direct connection to organizational productivity. By compensation, today a wide area of coverage for the employees’ well-being and security is considered. Apart from the basic pays and financial incentives, medical benefits, leaves, flexible culture etc gain equal weight in evaluating an organization’s stand as an employer (Perrewé, 2011).

Conflicts on Benefits

In the light of the given statement, it can be assumed that the employers referred here are quite uncompromising in making a negotiation with the employees about their dues. Healthcare expense is one of the most uncertain expenses in a person’s life. The situation becomes more serious when the employee has dependent family members. It is not an uncommon fact that healthcare expense is increasing drastically world-wide. Under such circumstances, organizations must consider increasing the healthcare benefits for employees. But as in any privatized sector, employers are always in attempt of reducing their cost from various employee benefits among which healthcare is very common. A conflict is thus very natural (Martocchio, 2017). In order to avoid such conflicts, the employees should join the organizations that has a policy of providing benefits in compensation according to the market cost. Hence, if fare of transport increases, the transportation allowance should also increase. An annual increment must be a bottom line in compensation packages. Again, in case of sudden changes or loss in the organization, adequate communication, negotiation and co-existence must be attempted from the part of employers so that no misunderstanding hampers the organization’s productivity (Martocchio, 2017).

Unfortunately, very few employees can claim their dues and the declining scenario of workers’ unions makes the situation irresolvable.
