ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR
2
Description of the Organization
Organizational behavior for any institution denotes or shows how an entire entity relates
within itself and with other stakeholders within its realm of business and beyond. This element of
organization is critical because if individuals within an institution do not correlate well, how then
is the company supposed to be profitable (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2010). Synergy emanates entirely
from how individuals relate to each other within an institution.
Bank of China is a bank whose origin can be traced to China en it commenced operations
in 1912 after being authorized to do so by Dr Sun Yat-Sen. At inception, the bank primarily
served as a central bank for the scarce population that was in existence at that time. It grew with
time to become among the best banks in China with great repute. The organization has been
there for centuries working closely with the government of China to ensure that all banks within
that area comply with the regulations. Huge ramifications come with not complying with the set
rules and standards.
The bank serves a wide population both within and outside China. The capacity or
potential customers in china is relatively high. In addition to this, Bank of China prides itself in
that it has a wide array of goods and services it can offer its customers and this is how it has
remained up float for a very long time.
Problem
The organizations’ major challenge is the rift between management and the board. The
board disapproved the increase in remuneration for the major reason that at the time, they could
not afford to increase its wages high; uproar from the community asking the wage bill which was

already dangerously high. Management at the time insisted that the individuals should remain in
their core business or area of expertise.
From the outside looking in, all seems picture perfect at the bank with very little or no
disturbance or wrangles from within. The organization is seen to be of excellent standing with
little or no problems. This could be no further from the truth. Bank of China has seen employees
fight among themselves mainly emanating from the pressures that be and also from the salary
disparities that exist. Employers the world over, should make a point to ensure that division and
specialization of labor is at its best. Through this, wrangles will seize to exist within the
organization.
Methodology for Gathering Information
Information will be collected first and foremost; employee contracts will be analyzed in a
bid to establish the salary disparities that do exist. The disparities ill eventually cancel out.
Aspects of the organization that are vital such as the board of directors and managers will have to
sit down and discuss the way forward.
The mangers should have, at the beginning sought to have a serious conversation with the
directors and iron out certain issues. Information will also be gathered through the use of a
sample population. These individuals will be asked on whether or not individuals engaged in
wrangles and if they did so, what. When all is did and done, wrangles within an organization
denote certain amount of indiscipline within it. Colleagues cannot yell at each other and continue
focusing on petty issues when there is money to be made which in turn guarantees prosperity for
the business at all times.
