The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has done extensive research into how to pick out
people who are likely to associate with criminal organizations long before they actually act.
While many of these include researching tendencies related to behavior or online followings,
human graphology has developed significant interest in recent years. Human graphology is better
known as handwriting analysis, but not of the type that comes to mind for most people. Rather
than analyzing handwriting to determine who the person is who wrote it; human graphology
instead aims to dive deeper into the person’s character traits. Keith Laycock explains that if the
goal were to explain everything about a person’s mind through their handwriting it would be
nearly impossible. Instead, researchers have isolated certain characteristics and created a
database of people’s handwriting who exhibited that quality. A list of these traits is given,
