STEP 1:
After you have reviewed your notes/annotations on the videos and readings for this week, respond to the following questions:
- How did you feel reading through this week's articles? Were they easy or hard to read/watch? What did you like/dislike about them? What, if any, connections can you make between the experiences of the authors and speakers and your own experiences? (This answer should cover all sources for the week.)

Reading through the Articles
Reading and watching documentaries concerning the purpose of education have been fun
and stimulating based on the aspects of education obtained from the learning materials. The
course week materials have provided insights concerning the struggles facing various people in
their path towards success. For instance, Malcolm X (1965) elaborates on the strategies he used
to read and write while in prison. Hooks (2000) also explains the problems facing young girls in
racist communities when attaining education success. Reading and watching the documentaries
about education was easy and straightforward as it involved the approaches of understanding the
concepts and the success factors of the narrators. All the narratives and videos were likeable as
they helped understand the struggles and the authors' efforts in their learning process. For
example, Taylor (2019) explains the incidences that led to his fear even at his older age. Taylor
grew up in a family and society that teased him and made fun of him, which led to fear
