A ball, starting from 10 m/s rolls down a hill with acceleration of 2 m/s^2. What is its velocity after 20 seconds?

Sep 21st, 2014

Initial velocity = u = 10 m/s

final velocity = ?

Acceleration = a = 2 m/s^2

t = 20 sec

Using the formula

v = u + at

Putting the values, we get

v = 10 + 2*(20)

v = 10 + 40

v = 50 m/s

Hence v = 50 m/s
