Question Description

A boat can hold three people, one of whom needs to row across a river that is 20 yards wide. What is the minimum distance the boat must travel to transport 9 people from the left bank of the river to the right bank?

Final Answer

3 people in which one should always be on boat to row = 20 yard

Then the minimum distance is 140 yards

Because the man which has to row the boat will have round four times including him, which makes  them total nine peoples.
