Please use resources from Weeks 1 – 3 for this assignment. From the list below, answer the following questions in your PowerPoint presentation. This presentation should be no less than ten – twelve slides, not including title and Reference slide. Your presentation should include graphics, as well as utilizing the Note portion of the PowerPoint template. Your presentation should include the following subsets of psychology: Developmental, Personality, Learning/Memory and Psychopathology, BioPsychology and Perception Psychology.
The following questions should be substantively addressed and answered.
- What is your current interest in each of the above subfields of psychology covered thus far?
- How can one utilize a degree in each of these fields of psychology?
- What should your undergraduate degree plan be for the field that interests you the most?
- Will you need to go to Graduate School to pursue these careers?
- What surprised you the most about each of these fields?
- Thinking about the career field that interests you the most, what do you believe you will have to improve upon to meet or exceed expectations?
- The last two – four slides of your presentation should substantively summarize what you found most interesting while completing this assignment and at least one element you learned during this assignment of which you can benefit in knowing more.
Your presentation should include:
- Title Slide
- Body of slides, with Note portions (8-10 slides)
- Conclusion/Summary (2-4 slides)
- Reference Slide (at least three academic references)
IMPORTANT: You MUST utilize the Note portion of the PowerPoint. Each slide should have at least one substantive paragraph, e.g. five- seven sentences regarding what you have highlighted on the slides. The Note portion is worth a significant amount of points for this assignment.

Topic: Subsets of Psychology
Introduction: Psychology is fundamentally about human thoughts and behavior. Also, it
assesses the way the human mind operates and reacts to various situations
Thesis: Psychology is divided in various subsets, including developmental psychology, learning
and memory, personality, psychopathology, Biopsychology and perception psychology (Douglas
& Holland, n.d.). Each subset of psychology address a specific aspect about the human mind and
behavior.
Developmental Psychology: Developmental psychology is a subset of psychology that
facilitates the understanding of human mental development through learning, maturity, and
adaptability to various situations (American Psychological Association (APA), 2020).
Personality: The way people think, act, and respond to diverse situations defines their
personality (American Psychological Association (APA), 2020b).
Learning and Memory: Learning is a process of acquiring knowledge though a formal or
informal process. My current interest in the learning and memory field is finding the best way to
do it efficiently.
Psychopathology: Psychopathology involves the study of abnormal mental behaviors (Cherry,
2020). My interest in the field of psychopathology is understand different kinds of abnormal
mental behaviors that people can develop.
Biopsychology: Biopsychology a subfield of psychology that assess the correlation between the
brain and other biological aspect that influence human behavior and feelings (Hoffman, 2015).
Perception Psychology: Perception refers to the organization and interpretation of sensory
information. I find perception psychology the most interest compared to other subfields (Douglas
& Holland, n.d.).
Summary: Completing this assignment has improved my understanding of different subfields of
psychology. Psychologists can specialize in different fields depending on where their interests
fall and their passion desires.
Conclusion: Each subfield of psychology plays a vital role in understanding the human mind
and the development of different kinds of human behavior.
