Globalization has led to high competition across all industries, and businesses have to
change their way of doing things to ensure workplace efficiency. Change has become a necessity
rather than an option in organizations promote response to the changes. Saudi Arabian
companies have also been forced to accept organizational change as they aim at creating a
competitive advantage in their respective organizations. Organizational change refers to the
process of planning and implementing changes in an organization to ensure competency in their
industry (Greenwood, Jennings, & Hining, 2015). There are four significant types of
organizational change. The first type of organizational change is strategic transformational
change. Strategic transformational change refers to changes that affect all operations in an
organization. Transformational organizational change involves upgrading all business processes
to establish a competitive advantage. Transformational changes involve issues like the
introduction of new technology, updating mission, and training people on new skills.
